I started making these because I got tired of reading the average single sentenced quotes. Quotes from Les Brown, Eric Thomas, and some other new speakers will be appearing soon. Stay motivated! (All quotes were transcribed by me.)
"There will be struggle throughout your entire life and that is what will make you grow. You can take the easy way out, you can also shy away from your pain but if you do... if you do, you will never be the person you want to be. Pain is your fuel. When the going gets tough. The tough get going. You can't do it, you're too small, you're not smart enough, you're not fast enough, you're not big enough, you're not strong enough, you're from a small school... my whole life I've been told I'm not good enough! My whole life is a struggle! My pain is my glory. My parents did not tell me to do this... coach didn't tell me to stay after practice... teacher didn't tell me to stay up studying all night. That comes from within! And you need to find something from within... that's got to be your fuel, your push, your motivation and your previous shortcomings need to be the chip on your shoulder to turn your weaknesses into strength... Fear of failure is made up in your mind. It's a fabrication of reality and you can only know how far you can go if you are willing to go to far. Are you listening? You can only go as far as the pain you're willing to endure! Did I think I get a scholarship? Did I think I be drafted by Bill Parcels? Did I think I be playing in the NFL? Did I think I be on the cover of a magazine? Did I think as a skinny little boy being picked on that I'd take it this far? But I said you know what? Screw it. Let me push myself to the limit each and everyday. Let me do the opposite of what my friends are doing. Let me stay extra after practice when everyone else leaves. Let me stay extra at the gym instead of extra at the party. Let me chase my dreams. Let me grind. Let me do me! If you do that you, I promise you... I promise you... you will fly!" - Marc Megna
"Life isn't a book with multiple chapters it's an overlapping experience and everything is just a segue into another. Get rid of all these weaknesses and except the journey at hand knowing its going to be tremendous. But with tremendous effort comes tremendous reward! It's a worthy cause you're on right now. You aren't going to tell me what it is? I think that's a mistake too! You should tell everyone what it is, let everyone know what's weak about you because that's not who you are anymore. Just by saying it, you're publicly saying I'm better than this. I want to move on, I'm not scared of this. This thing is no longer going to be a handicap for me. I'm no longer going to be the servant of it. I'm not going to be the victim anymore. I'm going to identify the problem. Problem solved, fix it, whatever it takes and override it. When you do that not only are you a betterment of a person but you have the belief and confidence of what the fucks next. What else can I overcome and the answer to that question is anything... anything! But if you sit back and you war game everything hesitation builds and with hesitation comes fear of failure. 'What happens if I do fail? Right now it's good enough. Everyone thinks I'm good. If I try and fail their going to see my weaknesses...' FUCK WHAT THEY THINK! Fuck what they think...They're seeing what the truth is. You are weak, you did fail, that's not a problem or a negative. It's identified, it can be fixed. If never identified never fixed. Once identified, worked on then mastered. Moving onto the next thing!" - Greg Plitt
"For me to spend my hard earned money into something there must be some FORM OF FUCKING VALUE! You get the body... not just if but when. How harder you train the faster it comes. You start to understand that, you're willing to pay those payments of sacrifice and sweat equity on a daily basis and give that down payment today because the future investment in tomorrow is so bright. No longer are you going to wake up the same person! You're changing the mainframe. You're becoming that person through payments of this shit. You own that! Nobody's paid you a fucking thing, the gym membership, the time, everything else an investment. So once you transformed your body you found value in what you're doing every single day to create the end state. You got lost and fixated on the mission every day and you did it and did it and did it and did it and then one day you popped up for some air and looked saying 'I'm almost there' and then fucking a next thing you know there you are standing in the mirror amazed. Holy shit what happened? It's because you stood for something... you had character! You walked what you talked and there you stand fat fucker to mother fucker of inspiration................... that's who you are." - Greg Plitt
