A lot of our daily struggles are the same. How we deal with them are usually the differentiating factor.
I share these to help uplift and change people's mindset. Even if I change only one person's life by making it better then
it's all worth it to me.
A lot of us are not equipped with knowledge to just be successful in unfamiliar territories of life. That's what failure is for. Going out there doing something new and failing and continuing to try and fail until success occurs. That's the best way of learning. Life in natural circumstances. However some of us haven't tried because as humans we're scared of the unknown.
We're clueless or lost, unsure of what direction we need to take... in that case why not be proactive and go searching for wisdom so we can be more mentally equipped.
You might know someone personal like a friend or family member. Someone you "look up to", like a role model. Someone who already went down the path you want to go down. There are plenty examples to be found in sports. Many seek out "motivational speakers" or coaches. I prefer the word mentor because it's not about a professional title for people to use and make money... The people to your left and right can even be mentors by observing their activities. You can learn from the things you see and also the things you don't see occurring. Think about "visual nutrition" and how the things we see and hear also go into our bodies like food and effect our mind.
"Someone who says I failed is 10 times more of a man than someone who said 'what if' because 'what if' never went to the arena."
Day to day, making a conscious decision of inputting "positivity" will make it more of a habit. It becomes easier to bounce back after a shitty day when it's second nature. We all fall down at times so getting back up quick is an excellent strategy. Finally, you must believe what you're telling yourself or it's just words.
Become a mentor for others and lead a path that leaves footprints of motivation and inspiration for others.
The following are some more of my favorites quotes.
"There you go again talking about money... you're missing everything I'm saying... I go let me break it down for ya. I've been to a few funerals in my life and at a funeral what happens is someone gets up and speaks on the deceased... it's called a eulogy. At every fucking funeral I've been to I've never heard one say how much money that person made, how many cars, how many businesses, how many houses. I always hear them say the character of what they stood for... the impact they left on others what they gave back to society and what they gave back how it trumped ten fold what they ever took and how they were an asset instead of a detriment to their neighbor. Those kind of people fills the church or wherever it is because people respect them and even though they're dead their legacy lives on... and so I looked that judge in the eye and said you're not gonna rob me of that and nor is that fucking prick gonna. Fact is I got the money to buy this case over five times and if that's what it costs, that's what it cost. Money I've had, money I've lost... build it up again. It doesn't define me. What defines me is what my dad built in me and what my mom built in me. It's the rock of the foundation you build yourself upon. The character of who you are. Nothing else matters... that's the wealthiest person in the world." - Greg Plitt
"What are you waiting for!? You got one life to live, why wait until tomorrow to start it! Today begins, tomorrow continues and it never ends until you reach your goal. It's the heart of a champion, not the ego of a champion or the bicep of a champion; it's the heart that dictates success." - Greg Plitt
"In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact." - Les Brown
“It’s one thing to talk about your destiny. It’s one thing to dream about your destiny. It’s one thing to look at your destiny. But it’s another thing – it is another thing – to make the decisions. To wake up when you know you supposed to wake up! Listen to what I’m telling you! To write when you don’t feel like writing that paper. To say no to that party, that you know, is not going to help you, to make your dreams become a reality. Listen to me! No, to sleep when you should be working out. Saying no to quitting when you still got a hundred more shots to make. Saying no when your body says stop, but you put in fifty more push ups! You can’t just talk about it! You got to be about it!” – Eric Thomas
"The bungee jumping story with the girl... man, she goes down... boom! Doesn't hit the rocks... comes back up a whole other side from that horrific sound to pure life! Like she just delivered her first newborn or just got engaged or a kid on Christmas or like when I came back from the war and gave my parents that first hug like life has just begun! Ya know, like that kind of moment.. just smiling an so happy. What just happened there? Fear... at its weakest state. She faced it, killed it, energy is never lost... its transferred came back in more confident, more capable, and then loving it! But what really happened right there is her life began because if she did not jump and said 'I can't do it' this has happened to all of us. We'll make up every reason not to do it.
We'll fool this person, that person but we can't fool ourselves can we? There'll come a time we get up at 2 in the morning
to take a piss and we look in that mirror back at us we know the truth we know the reason why we didn't jump because we're scared and that fear is still inside of us taking us away thinking back on that so the next endeavors we do in life we're thinking about how we failed instead of how we're going to win it. That messes up your mindset tremendously! This girl will never have to worry about that because she did it. She left it there. Not only did she do it but fear left and more confidence came back. So that next endeavor she'll look back and go yes 'I kicked it's ass there! I'll do it again.' I realized the fear I had right here was self-created wasn't such a big deal. I can knock it down. I'll knock it down and knock it down again. I'm scared for what I'm about to do but what I learned from the past is it's not a big deal. Let me go for it! If I fall on my face I'll learn to catch myself. Now we got someone going places in life. Where if she didn't jump a part of her soul would've been left there. I challenge you to face your fears. If your ever lost and there's a fork in the road and your wondering which way do I go don't take the beaten path. Take the path less traveled it's rockier, steeper, it's only you and your shadow, nobody's going to walk with you it's too hard. But that's what leads to character. The person that's remembered. The life lived. We're all are alive, few are living. Don't follow the herds guys. Find your fears. Face 'em when you face your fears right behind that small door, very thin that you self-created is the person you always have wanted to be." - Greg Plitt
